For International Women’s Day on March 8th, we’re talking travel with some of our female guides around the world. Next up, Livia in Budapest!
What is your best travel memory?
Watching the sun set over the Greek Islands from Santorini, dancing salsa with the locals in South America, and meeting a Geisha girl in Kyoto.
Why did you start working in travel?
I’ve always liked travelling, ever since my first trip when I was 6. It’s just continued since then – I didn’t plan it, but I love it!
What is your favourite part about working with Urban Adventures?
When I see how much people love the tour, usually the food tour, of course. We show them something that they really would not be able to see on their own. I love it!
If you could live and work in any other UA city, where would it be and why?
Tokyo. Such a good city, and I love the culture. I haven’t been to NYC, but I think I would love to live there too.
If you had to give a visitor one tip about your city, what would it be?
Definitely visit Budapest’s ruin bars!
Where in the world (other than your own city!) would you go to:
Get cultured? Barcelona, NYC, or London.
Escape? A little Croatian island, or Lucca in Italy.
Eat amazing food? Parma or Perugia in Italy.
See some wildlife? Zanzibar.
Get some sun? Tarifa in Spain.
Enjoy the great outdoors? The South Island of New Zealand.
Thinking about going to Budapest anytime soon? Take a stroll around the city with Livia on one of our Budapest tours!
