‘Tis the season for presents, nog, buffets of baked goods, and filling your calendar with more social events than there are actually days in December — many of which turn out to be equal parts awesome and awkward. Embarrassing office shenanigans, nights you don’t quite remember, guests who hog the cheese platter, trying to fit into your pants after you’ve hogged the cheese platter… yeah, we’ve been there, too. But you gotta still love it all, right?
As you head out to celebrate (or plan your own shindig), we wish you a social scene free of these holiday party fails, all guaranteed to kill the spirit of the season.
Bad Secret Santa/Kris Kringle presents.
A dry party.
Mistletoe at an office party.
Planning the night at the best venue in town… then waiting until December to make the reservation.
Being that person.
Running out of food.
You’re forced to play icebreaker games from your ninth-grade drama class.
Forgetting to set the Facebook party page to invite-only.
There’s no coat check (in the northern hemisphere).
The party is indoors (in the southern hemisphere).
Letting the wine tell you that now is the perfect time to ask your boss for a raise.
The DJ plays nothing but Christmas carols.
Worrying too much about the event instead of celebrating your awesome hosting skills.
Failing to remember what the season is really all about.
For a holiday party that doesn’t suck (or if you left your planning to the last minute), maybe we can help you out? Book one of our local tours as a group and ta-da! Instant party. We’ve got your back. Happy holidays!
This season, don’t throw a party – go to a party! Let us take the planning off your hands with group tours that are small on fruitcake and big on tapas, beers, cocktails, and nights out (and if you really want a fruitcake, we can probably arrange something).
